About the Festival
Laguna Film Festival was founded with the purpose of showcasing the work of emerging filmmakers. We are fortunate to be sponsored by Oops Doughnuts Productions (Reefer Madness, She's the Man, The Game Plan, Race to Witch Mountain, You Again, Parental Guidance, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Liv and Maddie, Internet Icon, Heathers the Musical, and the upcoming horror-comedy Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse) to help put together an amazing weekend filled with short film screenings, as well as panels comprised of professionals who have truly made their mark in the entertainment industry. All screenings will be held at the state-of-the-art Regency Directors Cut Cinema in Laguna Niguel, CA.
The Regency Directors Cut Cinema has been hailed as one of the finest movie theaters in Orange County. The theater consists of 7 auditoriums filled with plush stadium seating and the highest-quality projectors and sound. The theater is located just 15 minutes away from Laguna Beach.
Laguna Beach is known to many people as the Hawaii of California. In addition to its breathtaking sandy beaches and crystal blue ocean, Laguna is also known for its renowned arts culture. Every year, people travel from all over to attend the world-famous Pageant of the Masters, which was featured in Arrested Development and Gilmore Girls, as well as the Sawdust Festival and the Festival of the Arts. This amazing little town is also filled with phenomenal restaurants, great shopping, and world-class resorts.
